Honey Bees in real mess :( ...telecom alert !!!

This post actually hibernated in my drafts folder for a long time...got a bit laid back and lazy in the mean time ,so didnt post it...
My name is khan --- many people liked this movie ,but i am not the one among them :) ...i liked New York far better... Anyways this article is not about My name...or Shahrukh , Kajol chemistry...infact this is about honeybees and telecom engineers....he he he... seems to be a distant match...huh ....
"EINSTEIN THEORY OF DECLINING HONEYBEES"...courtesy "MNIK" It was being speculated way before, that "If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would only have four years of life left." ...did Einstein uncle actually said this??? I wonder if he was a physicist or a bee keeper/apiarist :) ...I didnt find any official website citing this Einstein's quote...
Across America, millions of honey bees are abandoning their hives and flying off to die, leaving beekeepers facing ruin and US agriculture under threat. And to date, no one knows why. A professor from German University has recently conducted one experiment and he has contributed the declining population of honeybees to cellphones.
The theory goes like this: cellphone's high frequency electromagnetic radiation --------> interfering with honey bee's navigation system---------> they couldn't return to their hives --------->deviate/die--------> no pollination --------->food scarcity -----------> humans die ......think....think...think....
This actually seems to be a scary horror movie...our love for mobile phone could cause massive food shortage...since world's major harvests fail...
My views:
1. What I have gathered from this experiment is that, they simply got a wireless home phone base station, put it on the maximum setting and left it at the bottom of the hive. Now come on we don't expect the bees to be wandering around the tower :) ...these tower act as microwaves, our bees must have got baked.
2. Radiation deviate the bees...then where do they go?? do they die or migrate or what??? I heard something called colony collapse disorder...may be this is the answer to this...i wonder...
3. Bees are not the only pollinators, nature has its back up plans...there is wind pollination, bat pollination and insect pollination...so there is no chance that just after 4 years of bees extinction humans will die...
Thank god we have our staple diet rice , wheat , maize , barley which don't need bee pollination...
4. If these issues keep on piling like this, then what would happen to the telecom engineers?...cellphone , GPS system , blackberrys , i phones , radars......
sab pe brake lag jaega :( ...
5. Microwaves have been used for terrestrial tv & radio far longer than mobile phones and yet nobody attacks them :)

According to me, may be the problem is: illegal erection of cellphone towers in residential areas...and the residents are cool about it coz their mouths are shut with huge money from service providers. MCD proposed a new policy which says, none of the service providers will be allowed to erect a cellphone tower in residential areas provided there is no other alternative. Like the nearest tower of that service provider is at a distance from that area and there is no other option left since that provider doesnt share towers with any other company. This is a good step by the municipal corporation...now atleast they will require a NOC from COAI... cellphone towers are damaging the city's skyline...

There is a 2 way problem with the cell tower - if they are less in number then there is reception problem, cell would utilize more power as it is far from the tower hence more radiation...thats why it is good to increase the number of towers... but again increasing the number means spreading to residential areas which will lead to biological problems...

In foreign countries no such towers are visible since they are using the latest technology...They follow the "Not in my Back Yard" concept :)
I wonder what more theories would be put forward...it is our scientists who invent technology without knowing the side effects and they are the one who forbids us from using the same sooner or later...and now the main target is telecom sector!!! today may be we can live a day or two without food but imagine a day without any communication...its scary na...
Getting people to stop using cell phones would be as difficult as getting the United States to stop invading the countries that hold the largest oil reserves on the planet. So its better , sweety bees , stay away from the radiations coz we can't do much help in this regard and keep sweetening our lives with honey... :)

  2. i think optical fiber technology will do the need...they do no need masts (cell phone towers)...can be laid underground...and small amount of radiations from exits can be controlled...

  3. NEXTG services using distributed antenna system are used in states :
